Join Valentin Yotkov for a workshop at a16th century farmhouse Villa at a winery in the Chianti region of Tuscany. The beauty of this countryside is beyond words. World renowned wines have been produced on these 400 acres of beautiful Chianti vineyards for over 900 years.

The workshop will help you develop skills critically important for you as a jeweler and metalsmith. The focus of our study will be on creating a master drawing of a jewelry or hollowware design using light and shadow.

Creating dimension through shading will enable you to see how that design will appear when executed in metal by repousse, wax carving or any jewelry fabrication technique.

You can use this drawing to show a client how a piece of jewelry will look when completed in metal.

Previous drawing experience is not required.

In the afternoons participants will visit quaint hill top villages in the area as well as the most famous museums and landmarks in the cities of Siena and Florence.
