Join us for this class and learn how the Greek and Thracian goldsmiths used Chasing and Repoussé to decorate their fantastic gold and silver vessels. Beginners will chase intricate designs using fine liners. Intermediate level students will master deep chasing which resembles repousse, and those with advanced skills will create designs in high relief using the snarling iron. All levels welcome.

• Two sandbags approximately 6 x10 x 2 in. or smaller.

• C- clamp (provided by the studio)

• Two Copper cups (provided by the studio)

• Red German Pitch (approximately 1/2 brick)

• Wooden blocks (provided by the studio)

• Design for chasing (provided by the studio)

• Tracing paper

• Graphite paper

• Clear tape, pencil, ball point pen

• Chasing tools (if you don't have your own tools I will provide a set for use during the workshop)

• Chasing hammer #30 or #32

• Eye protection

• Hand towel
